Blessed God
One, yet Three
Eternally loving, creating, calling

ALL:
We lift up our hearts to You!

ONE:
You call the wonder of creation into being
You fill the world with light and life

ALL:
Glory to God! Make us your light!
Glory to God! Raise us to life!

ONE:
When the fullness of time had come
You called our sister Mary
to nurture and nourish your Word Made Flesh
You called our brother John
to make way for your Glorious Good News

ALL:
Open our ears and hearts to Your call

ONE:
When the fullness of time had come
Your Son, our Savior,
Called one and all to
“Come and see”
“Come and follow”

ALL:
Lamb of God, I come, I come

ONE:
When the fullness of time had come
Jesus called his followers to table
“Come, take, eat and drink”
Giving thanks, breaking bread, raising cup
Body and Blood
Pardon and Provision
Grace upon grace

ALL:
We bow in remembrance
We stand in awe
Forgive us and empower us
so we may lead lives worthy of Your calling

ONE:
Come Holy Spirit,
Abide with us and in us
and on these gifts of bread and wine
Make them be for us the body and blood of Christ
that we may be the Body of Christ:
carrying Your welcome to all people
useful to You in Your saving work

ALL:
Holy One- Father, Son, Spirit
Your Kingdom come, Your will be done
All to the glory and honor of Your Name. Amen

A Great Thanksgiving is also known as a Eucharistic Prayer or Prayer for Holy Communion. It is used to consecrate the bread and the wine/grape juice.
