Consider reading the chapter in several translations and choosing a few verses to memorize. I chose:
Luke 2:14 NRSV
Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace among those whom he favors!

Luke 2:30 NRSV
My eyes have seen your salvation

Luke 2:34-35 NRSV
Then Simeon blessed them and said to his mother Mary, “This child is destined for the falling and the rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be opposed so that the inner thoughts of many will be revealed— and a sword will pierce your own soul too.”
