I asked, “Are you ok?”
My friend said, “I am not.”

My heart breaks with hers
Your heart breaks with hers

You hold her truth with great compassion
We hold each other, clinging to your promises

You will walk us through this shadowy valley
You will bring light to this long, deep night
We know we will have trouble
We trust you will overcome

We watch
We wait
God of Grace
