Reader's Theater: Road to Emmaus

Some stories lend themselves naturally to a reader’s theater format. The post resurrection appearance of Jesus on the Road to Emmaus is one of them. (Luke 24) The emotional rollercoaster, the questions, the hearts made warm in breaking open the words of prophecy, the eyes made clear in breaking open the bread at the meal. So many of us see our journey of faith in their journey. – Lisa <><

  1. Thank you so much for posting this for others to see and use. We are going to use this at our youth worship service Sunday night – it will fit in perfectly!

  2. Thank you for sharing the “Road to Emmaus”. We are going to use your readers theater on a retreat for kids from the inner city of Chicago through the suburbs. If you get a chance listen to a song called “Walk With Me” by Kathy Sherman (Sisters of St. Joseph). That is the theme of the retreat. Many thanks! Kitti McSorley

    • Wonderful! I’m thrilled is useful to you. Blessings to you and all who are a part of the retreat. And thanks for the song recommendation. PS- My daughter lives in Chicago so it holds a special place in my heart.
